My Son Won't Wear Glasses

I have a 6-year-old son who just found out he has to wear glasses. The only problem? He refuses to even pick out frames to wear. He says only nerds wear glasses! I'm not sure where he got this idea. His dad, whom he adores, wears glasses, but when I pointed that out, my son just said, "That's different. He's a grown-up." What can I do to help him change his mind?
